spring table

Today the temperature is in the 70's. Maybe it"s here to stay. It has been a long cool spring.  I might even eat lunch on the deck. The yard is still looking bad.

I thought of lilacs and had the perfect tablecloth. The yellow napkins I used for place mats give it a more cheerful combo.
thrift store find. A candle holder.

Close up love birds. I have some birds in my bird houses. It has rained so much the poor things are having a hard time keeping dry and tending to babies.
He is eyeing me lol

The weather sounds lovely to eat al fresco, now! I love your cheery table with the lilac tablecloth and yellow place mats. I also love the china and the pretty napkin fold with a birds nest in each! The food looks great too.
Happy Mother's Day, after all you have three furry kids, lol!

VERNICE!!! I had no idea you were back to blogging!!!! I used to get the little email alerts in my email, but I haven't gotten one so I didn't know! I'll have to re-subscribe to see if that will trigger it. Man...this sucks! I'm so sorry I haven't been visiting, but I just didn't know you'd posted anything!!!

This is a really fresh Spring table with lots of wonderful little touches everywhere. The lilac tablecloth is the perfect backdrop for everything. It really reminds one of the beauty of Spring!

The napkin fold is really neat! That would be great for a lot of different fabrics!

The food looks absolutely scrumptious! You must really be an excellent cook because the food you show is always mouth-watering!

I'm so sorry I didn't get in touch on Mother's Day. I was busy tending to my Mom who is having a few heart problems. I think she may also not be feeling well because it's getting so close to the anniversary of Daddy's death. We've all been a little on edge about that, I think. I know I've been really weepy and moody and have just wanted to be at home all week. I guess the 1st year is expected to be the worst, but we'll get through it.

SO glad to see you back and wowing us again! Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!!
