just for fun kids corner

I have so many snowmen I am glad to get to show them.
Modern day Santa that kids know standing on a Christmas stand I got from my favorite thrift store.

It's beginning to look like christmas all around our town.People took advantage of the nice weather to get out their Chrismas displays. I attended our town's Christmas Concert  last night. It got me in the mood for the coming holiday. the music was great and the money goes to Hospice. The Opera House was full and people in a joyous mood. We also had a sing along.

Votives filled with candy canes for treats and for hot cocoa.

Snowmen salt and pepper. Next Sunday will be our annual Christmas  night parade. We even have Canadian bagpipers, and their best float. We used to have it in the day time but the night shows all the lights. The dogs sit in the window in awe. It goes right by my house. There will be hundreds of people in town. The cars go by our house and it sometimes takes an hour for them to go by.
Hot peppermint cocoa what's not to like.
Another sweet snowman. The senior citizens bus will take a tour of the town when all decorations are up. that is a fun trip.
Santa and a raindeer set the center stage. I am sure he will busy getting ready for the big night. This would be a good time to talk about the reason for the season.
More happy snowmen. I don't usually decorate til 2 weeks before Christmas but this year I will set up all my trees. Stop to see how many.I stll have the mantle and bay window to do. Now I have a kitty he can jump high so will need to adjust to that. I tried to dress him in  hat and red top but it was no go. My dogs love it. Now I must find their new headgear. lol See you next week and see what I come up with.

Sweet! All red & white and candy cane like. Garland from the chandelier, Santa and his reindeer. Adorable snowmen. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Good luck with the kitten and your trees!! Can't wait to see. :)

Sweet table.. and your little one is adorable!!! Totally. We've put our tree up with a guidewire to the wall, I'd hate for Regan to decide to climb it! Santa is just so wonderful.. When is cocoa? xo marlis

Hi there, Vernice! I was sick most of last week (still am) with a nasty cold, so I'm just now getting around to see my favorite blogs! I'm always so glad to stop in and see what you have goin' on!!! Terrific as always! I like all the snowmen! Let's just hope we don't have a ton of the white stuff for making real ones this year!!! It's pretty, but what a mess!!!!! That is so cool about the float going right past your house!!! I'll bet it's gorgeous at night! You should dress Bambi & Peanut up as elves and stand out there and sell cookies to the people in the cars! :-) It sounds like you are going to be plenty busy with Christmas decorations over the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to see them!!!!
