Brunch

My babies all fast asleep. How peaceful.
Thanksgiving dinner  with friends and family, great food and making memories. After it is all over with left overs for next  a day brunch. It is getting cold up north.  We had a couple of  nights with frosts. soon our snow birds will be heading south.
Made a hurricane lamp filled with seeds and dried tiny pine cones.
the table cloth is a square piece of canvas for a rustic feel.. My cornucopia now filled with fake fruit but could use real fruit.
Colors of fall. Metal oakleaf for napkin ring. Soup dish ,I think turkey noodle and crackers. Different way of placing silverware..
I purchased at a local craft show. It really hangs on door knob but used for a little decor.
Unusual salt and pepper ,rustic looking. Pears for a background.
There' my birdie sitting on a basket of tiny acorns. Fall will soon be over ,sad but true.  Winter coming fast. the only snow I want to see is the first snowfall.  It covers up the bare trees and sparkles in the sunlight. Enchanting.Everything white and clean.
A closer look at the different placement of silverware.
My vintage brass candlesticks with a little vine wreath.
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor  away.
Long view of table. See the mug rug with a flower. amber goblets with burlap bow.  I have a new love for burlap which I never would have thought to use before.

Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving and be thankful for the little things in life and pray that next year be  bountiful and peaceful.                                     http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

I love your hurricane lamp!! I just received one from a customer of mine who said I needed one after a discussion during a hard winter we had a few years ago. I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

EXCELLENT job, Vernice!!! I am really lovin' that hurricane!!!!!! What a great idea! Your flatware placement is really cool, too! It gives the table a whole new look! Very modern! Adding all the fruit to the table really gives it a bountiful look, too. You say an apple a day keeps the doctor away...I've tried that, but Ramon keeps coming back home! :-) The salt and pepper vessels are really cool. I like that pottery look. It's hard to find really nice and different salt & peppers anymore. I love those little "mug rugs", too! What a cute idea! I hope you and your family had a good Thanksgiving Day together! Have a good weekend!!!
