Sprayed stems gold and added ribbon
Two love birds me and you
my surprise gift
BAVARIAN CHINA TEA CUP.
Leaving the parsonage being different religions we could not get married in the church.  Reception at his home .
Two love birds in the flowers
The final version . I used my best china .  Notice the silverware I sprayed the handles gold to match the chargers.
the original version
this on side table
It started out like this
I had my 50th anniversary many years ago but one of my regrets is that we didn't celebrate an intimate one together so this is in honor of  the love of my life.  Did you ever do your tablescape over and over again til you were satisfied.  Well that was my problem putting this together . I wanted it to be special. My son and grandson will be joining me so food was a big order to get it done in time to post

.

I am so glad I haven't put on makeup yet. This has tears just flowing out of my eyes, Vernice. Seriously...this is one of the sweetest, most heartfelt things I have ever seen. I know you miss him. I know it. I am so glad you have good memories of your life together that you can reflect on and share. The wedding photo is lovely!!! That coat & hat you were wearing were really stylish! Those would look fantastic even today!!! This is one of the prettiest tables you have created, I think because of the sentiment behind it. The china is beautiful, and I really like the way you so carefully painted the flatware handles! Wow...that took some skill!!! The menu sounds fantastic!!! That's some good eatin'!!! I've missed your posts these last couple of weeks. So glad you're back! Happy Anniversary, dear Vernice!

What a lovely tribute to the love of your life. The touches of gold made this table setting regal and I LOVED the picture of your wedding day. That is an excellent idea for celebrating any occasion! I will definately be using that idea! Thank you for sharing your heart and your table.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful and loving tributes I've seen in blogland! Wow - the table is absolutely gorgeous. Truly an honour to see how you set this table. Glad that family is joining in for all the food - which looks delicious.

What a lovely tribute to your love. How wonderfully touching to see that your love still flows, you could see it with the detail on the table.. The Schumann Dresden dishes are one of my most favorites because they are so romantic.. on my bucket list! I hope your evening was wonderful.. xo marlis

I am so impressed that your 50 year love transcended any religious rules out there. God truly is great!! May the Father keep you close to His heart until you and Hubbby meet again.
