Now I must confess I am fake fake.  Fake fireplace ,fake flowers, fake chandy for looks only. I even have a fake guest unless you call the dogs guests as they love people food .lol  I did eat the meal goody

see the miniature candle votives with pink flowers                     The next pictures are things that I have accomplished so far this year.The mirror was a fancy clock that would not keep good time so fancy mirror. The kitchen  leaked under 2 ft of snow.  Had to repaint and change border.  I made the shelf from part of an old piano sheet music stand. I painted back of hutch and decorated it for spring. The oak cupboard was a garage sale find plus a corner cabinet all wood.  Good deal. I got my new rug at TJMaxx all wool 5 by 7 129.00 dollars.  Love it. I am so happy with my life and feel fortunate that I am safe cozy and well fed lol.  when I think of Japanese people who are suffering.  We should all pray for them.  I can't amagine the grief and pain they are suffering.

I am sitting here having lunch by myself on my pretty mismatched rose dishes of chicken salad and strawberry yogurt contemplating over what I have accomplished so far this year. I have been feeling much better this year so want to do things while I still can. The biggy thing I have finished painting my large room which what I call the doll room. Blinged up several lampshades.  Actually painted ecru shade white added Blue checkered ruffle.Redo wall in breakfast room when 2 ft of snow caused leaking.Painted all white radiant heat covers plus all windows and door jambs and old cupboards in breakfast room plus many small recycling old odd pieces. Got new area rug in doll room. I still have many projects I would like to get so I can enjoy the nice weather and work garden and deck. I get very tired so rest between projects.I took out  old tile in breakfast room to put in new flooring.Whew did I really do all that? The dogs were no help lol                                                                                                                                                                                                                              I was at a loss on what to post then I thought I haven't had lunch why don't I pamper myself so I decided that my roses my daughter gave me for my birthday now wilted and gone would make me remember my 80 birthday.  I really didn't know what I had with pink roses so I shopped the house and this is what I came up with.

gold and silver chargers   .  The weather here has been cold and snowy.  My new roof leaked in breakfast room and ruined the wall paper. The roof had about 2 ft of snow on it and it backed up  when it warmed up and melted.  It took my son about 2 hrs to shovel it off  and is now clear but  now have about 4 ft piles of snow.

apple tree 2010

A few more days and feb. will soon be here.March will give way to April my favorite time of the year. I am going to rush the season and think spring.The tulips and crocuses will start to push their way through.  Oh what joy to see the first show of spring. I sit here now in my warm cozy den with over 15 inches of snow on my deck.So lets pretend it's warm and green and enjoy another tablescape together. My forsythia bush is over 10 feet tall and will be a show piece this year.  My dogs will love to chase each other in the yard and I will think of what I will put out on the deck.  Oh you dreamer you.lol. The apple trees are going to bloom in their full glory. As I sit here its still snowing hard.  Did you know that each little flake are six sided and one of a kind . Its Gods another way of showing his greatness and show his love no matter who you are.  We are each one of a kind and unique.I am chuckling because I just shoveled all those unique one of a kind  little stars all 15 inches of them. I hope God wasn't looking.  We have had enough.already.lol

Twas the night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house all creatures were stirring even Miss Mouse.She placed the treats beside the tree,a plate full of cookies and a hot cup of tea.

Peanut ,peppy and Bambi were snug in their bed with visions of treats danced in their heads.

And just as I was about to sleep we heard such a clatter .We ran to the window to see what was the matter.

Up on the roof top was Santa and sleigh eight raindeer in the snow.There was Rudolph his nose all aglow.

Just as  we were turning around down the chimney he came with a bound. He wiggled and giggled with a hohoho heeheehee and went straight to the tree and bent down on his knee. Kids christmas table.

It's always nice to have the children have their own table set with kids in mind. the snow man dishes were gotten from thrift store. The tree I've had and sprayed it with a little snow.and put kid ornaments on it.The  gingerman houses are edible. The Blue dishes under snowman plates are plastic. The ornament I made into name tags. the little pails with snowmen are gifts. I love the candy stripe place mats and runner home made from thrift shop.I changed candy stripe candle with gold wreath. I used paper napkins and put them in mugs.
