Dainty country blue

It has been hot and humid for several days.  My garden and dogs are suffering. I have not done much so thought I would get post done early so wouldn't have to worry about it getting done and just relax. I got to see all my grand babies this week with a get together  at the cottage on the river my grand daughter rented for the week.I wanted something simple but pleasant lunch for two.I made the tablecloth and that was my inspiration.
Country ducks salt and pepper.  The candle holders are napkin holders.

I got the place mats and napkins at yard sale yesterday.  the butterflys my sister gave me.  Everything falling in place.
One cup teapot for the tea lover
My acrylic silverware I use a lot.  See how they pick up the colors
My scoop ducks hold mints.  they are really measuring spoons.
For the coffee drinkers or possibly cocoa.  Maybe a cold drink would be a better choice on this hot day.
My everyday corelle dishes and mismatched teacup.
the shade I have had for a while.  Perfect
love the apple dishes with blue trim for salad plate.
The rooster I just got at yard sale yesterday.
I have had these dishes a long time. they are so pretty and dainty.

Hi, Vernice! Wow....you have created a wonderland of blue & white!!! I think if I had to choose a color combination that made me feel best, it would be blue and white hands down! Especially with the gingham check tablecloth!!! I am really impressed that you made that! It's a wonderful foundation piece for your table. You are just tearin' me up with your creativity here lately! Napkin rings as votive holders?!???!!! WOW!!! SO creative! I never would have guessed!!! I'm going to have to borrow that idea! And the duck scoops...so imaginative! They really help to round out the look! Your rooster look incredibly regal. Great yard sale find! Sorry to hear it's still so icky there weather-wise. Same here. We're going into our 3rd day in a row of triple-digit temps. We are expected to stay in the triple digits for at least another week with highs getting up around 109. This is a HORRIBLE summer!!! We haven't been able to entertain outdoors at all, and our grass is looking more like a hay field. I'm just about ready to give up on the flowers, too. I spend so much time (and money!) watering them, and I just don't know that it's worth it anymore. They're starting to lose their color. maybe I'll just give up the ghost and wait to plant mums in the fall! I hope you guys get some relief soon. Have a great day!

Lovely refreshing blue and white tablescape. One of my long time favorite cloths is a blue and white gingham just like yours. It's always fun to use. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
