Hi, Vernice! I haven't been feeling so great this week. I sustained a torn rotator cuff to the right shoulder back in late November/early December that finally became too much to bear. I was in SO much misery that I finally asked Ramon to make the appointment for me to get a cortisone shot. I went to get it yesterday and have been in even more pain ever since. Plus the pain pill made me nauseous and dizzy, so I've been in bed most of the day. Feeling better this evening, but still not ready to move around a lot. Just hoping the shot brings some relief as it did when I tore the left rotator cuff. I am SO clumsy!!! Anyhooooooo...I think this is one of my all-time favorite tablescapes of yours! It tells a story. It really makes me WANT to come visit your town! It is a life so different and so pretty with all the sailboats and water that it just draws me in. (We live right by a lake with lots of boats, but it's just not the same.) TERRIFIC napkin rings and dishes!!! When I saw that little anchor, I literally grinned from ear to ear. What a great idea! I know I'm going to mess this all up when I describe it, but I have no idea what it's actually called: those 3 logs kind of looped together with rope with the sailboat in front of it. I have seen pictures of cranes or seagulls perched on them, but I don't know if there is a name for them. At any rate, I love that you added that AND the old boat lantern to the tablescape. Very creative!!! The napkins you used are absolutely right on, too!!! The murals on the sides of the restaurant are really fantastic. I'm assuming a local artist painted those? This is really great. I am going to inbox you re: some lobster crackers. I can't find any here in the Kansas City area, but I need a couple. I'm going to try asking a restaurant if they will lend me some first, but if they won't I'll inbox you about them. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!!!
I do believe I would like your town very much. When you show pictures of it I am homesick for the water. We are planning our summer trip to Cape Cod so at least I have that to look forward to. I really like your table and especially the anchor and life preserver for napkin rings, and the Norman Rockwell plate. My Mom is a huge fan of his and we have been to the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA. They have all the covers of the Saturday Evening Post framed and jung in chronological order with explanations of the pictures. They also have many of the original paintings, including some very famous ones. Thanks for the wonderful table. Linda
