Wee bit of country

We are in the middle of a ice storm with snow coming on top of it.  I hope we don't lose power. Our last storm took out power for 13 days and lost a lot of trees on both sides of the St Lawrence river.
Added  pig stencil on burlap place mat and rooster in bowl
Pig salt and pepper so cute
toast with strawberry jam

Front view of table.I do not live in the country  but have friends that do.
Found glasses at thrift shop 8 for 2.00
Individual creamers for cereal or glass of milk
Another cute creamer

Love the cow cup and sugar shaker the plaque says country.
Rooster tea towel and burlap place mats red silver ware and check table cloth say country to me
Used white dishes for contrast look like dishes folks would use.

Found cute piggy salt and pepper
Just quick and fun table.  Wanted to do  something different.  It is snowing lightly out but very cold.  Nice to snuggle in and enjoy a nice warm breakfast.  I think cinnamon and apple oatmeal , Hot cocoa  and maybe toast with strawberry jam. yum.It would be fun if you could join me and we could chat .

What is it that makes us all love farm animals? I do as well. The place mats are so cute and I love your red handled flatware. Richard from My Old Historic House.

I love this, Vernice! I'm going to have my sister stop by to take a look! She is SO into the look and feel of country kitchens...she'll fall in love immediately with this! I agree with Richard...there is just something about farm animals that is so charming! I love the placemat! That had to have taken quite a bit of time to put that stencil on burlap with all those little holes in it! You have such immense patience! I hope 2012 is treating you right thus far! The snow is rolling in here tonight, and I am so NOT ready for it!!! It could stay away forever as far as I'm concerned! The wind has really picked up, and I've been watching my neighbor's deck furniture get tossed around all evening. Such fun entertainment value when you're bored! :-) Have a great week!!!

A most welcoming table setting you have created. Great idea with adding a bit of whimsy with stenciling the burlap with the pig. The roosters definitely give you that country morning feeling, Happy Tablescape Thursday..HHL

So cute! I love the individual creamers. My grandchildren love using their very own as syrup pitchers, so they can pour ALL the syrup they want on pancakes! You have a great collection of farm-themed tableware!
