St Pat Day

This is the tale of the almost no tablescape . Picture this an old lady shuffling back and forth looking ,carrying dishes back and forth in her slippers.As this isn't enough I had computer problem lining up my post ,batteries went dead. It is day 4 and I am exhausted. I almost gave up but stubborn as I am I will leave it as is.I never found my plaid dishes or white soup bowls.Tried to eliminate my first header. Sorry you have to see past post.I am the imperfect lady. It should be my blog name. lol It is 4 degrees out with a foot of snow.http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

Have you ever had days like this? I think I will go back to bed.At least the banana  nut cakes were tasty treat.

What started out not too bad It just didn't have no bling so I covered it was artificial snow. Disaster 1.So what to do. It covered every thing. it was a mess.

Found one large plaid  plaid. 

Mz fix it cleaned most of the snow off with soft wet sponge

Added green lime juice for drink. No drinks served here.

PRETTY LACY DISH FOR FRUIT SALAD. WILL ADD GREENS LATER. 

WHAT A BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY DAY TO HAVE BRUNCH IN THE BREAKFAST  ROOM. IT IS COLD OUT SIDE HERE IN THE NORTH WITH NO WARMING UP SOON. I HAVE BEEN ABSENT FOR A WHILE AS I HAVE BEEN ILL FROM OPEN HEART SURJURY. . 

IT IS NICE WHEN EVERY THING CAME TOGETHER FROM MY THRIFTING DAYS. ALL WAS BOUGHT AT DIFFERENT TIMES..lOVE THE LITTLE WICKER GLASS HOLDER WITH ICE CREAM YUMM.

THIS IS JUST A SIMPLE RED AND GREEN BRUNCH. I THINK CHEESE AND BROCCOLI SOUP FOR STARTER.  OR MAYBE A OPEN CHEESE AND TOMATO BLOBBED WITH CHEDDAR CHEESE.. HOT CHOCOLATE  TO DRINK. ON THIS COLD DAY.

christmas at my house

peach and brown fall 2

My inspiration piece. I painted the bottom piece from black to white.Added the peach flowers. Made taller with glass goblet. Glued colorful leaves on clear plate and most of all I gold plated leaves from my yard gold and used it as wings. 

I added white bow and jewel flower. Isn.t  she so sweet?

I painted silverware in gold paint.The brown napkins and peach tablecloth is a good match.

Gold leaf under a clear plate adds to the dinner plates. Felt lacy  place mat.

Amber goblet and acorn name tag.

party for a lovely lady

I know its fall but wanted to show off my new thrift shop finds. The center piece is stacked pastel dishes glued together, the star of my tablescape.

My new shelf with birds in a cage with iridescent nesting material.

This small dish will hold some chocolate candy.

The glasses are vintage thumb print with iridescent glaze like carnival glass.

A little bling. I have never seen balls like this.I think someone made them.

I made this little bouquet in pretty candle holder.

Added the white pedestal.

The bottom part of the stacked dishes.

The top part. I think finger food with onion dip.

Blue linen place mats.I only have three. Pink flower and my clear acrylic silver ware as they take on the colors.

Lucky me to find this wonderful tea pot. 3:00 dollars.

Perfect for a lovely lady party.

I used my prettiest dishes . I think she will be delighted that I used special dishes for her party.

Salad dish with gold trim. Women love salad . I think a pasta dish would be filling.

dessert dish matches plates. what about a strawberry and banana with whipped cream and squirt of chocolate.
